Just six months after receiving our main building permits for the former Lear plant in Kitchener, we were ecstatic to open the doors of JWC 2 to the public and show off the completion of our phase one construction!
On Saturday, December 15, 2018, we welcomed over 400 members of the JWC family, media, and our community as we opened the doors with an official ribbon-cutting ceremony! Starting in our water filtration room, our guests, including City of Kitchener Mayor, Berry Vrbanovic, and Regional Council member, Tom Galloway, were given guided tours, highlighting the transformation from an automotive manufacturing plant to an aeroponic cultivation facility.
This event gave us the opportunity to give the public a glimpse into how our aeroponic technology is revolutionizing the cannabis industry, as well as what it takes to build world-class flowering and vegetative grow rooms. Guests were also invited to learn more about the tools and technology behind our entire our process, which set JWC apart as an industry leader in the cannabis, technology, and agricultural sectors.
We couldn’t be happier to give new life to this landmark building in Waterloo Region and are elated to have the support of our community and its leaders.
Thank you, Waterloo Region!
