At JWC, we are committed to making cannabis as accessible as possible to those who need it by understanding the diverse needs of our medical patients and veterans. This commitment is inspired by our strong family ties. We never forget our roots – because in November, we remember.
It was Grandpa Jim (a.k.a. James E. Wagner) and his farm that inspired JWC’s earliest beginnings.
Rewind to post-wartime rural life. Hearts and hardworking hands were still healing, and agriculture was waking up to new possibilities on the horizon. As part of the wartime effort, Grandpa Jim worked in factories, the local flour mill as well as the quarry loading railway cars with stone. Jim’s brother, Fred, was deployed to Europe for service.
Looking ahead, Jim used his wartime experience to build a life near Tillsonburg, Ontario. The family grew the farming operation from a small, 300-acre parcel of land to 3,000 acres.
Our founding family members, Nathan Woodworth, Laura Foster, and Adam Woodworth, spent summers on the farm learning about agriculture. This exposure set the standard for JWC’s innovation and technology by informing the advanced processes used in the production of cannabis.
Driven by our deep family roots, strong entrepreneurial spirit and inherent passion to help others, we make sure our cannabis products are as accessible as possible.
Our cannabis is grown by patients, for patients. We have medical patients and veterans lending their expertise throughout our leadership and grow teams.
For example, Nathan, our President and CEO, tried various pharmaceuticals to help manage chronic intractable migraines, and eventually settled on cannabis.
William Werth, our Chief Technology Officer, was previously a Combat Engineer with the Canadian Armed Forces. He received the Sacrifice Medal in recognition of the injuries he sustained while he was deployed in Afghanistan.
Additionally, JWC employs dozens of production team members that are active medical patients. These patients spend hours tending to each cannabis plant in order to achieve optimum plant health and yield.
At JWC, embracing diversity and inclusivity helps us understand the unique needs of our patients.
We work with Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC) to provide upfront coverage to veteran patients at a limit of 3g/day for the first 30 days, with a maximum coverage of up to $8.50/g. To qualify, first-time veterans must register as medical patients using the Patient Registration form and indicate veteran status by providing their K-Number.
Our Compassionate Pricing Program helps patients access the cannabis they need. We offer a 15% discount to patients with an annual income of ≤$25,000. Proof of income (e.g. Notice of Assessment or other government-issued documentation) is required to qualify.
Please contact our Client Care Team at firstname.lastname@example.org, or 1-888-594-4272 and we will respond as promptly as possible during regular business hours, 7:30 a.m.-5 p.m. EST.
With any consumption of cannabis products by whatever method or means, the general rule is to start with a low amount, and only increase slowly. Here at JWC, we would like to remind you that determining your dosage should be based on the information provided on your medical document. Do not change your dosage without first consulting with your healthcare provider. As always, make sure that your cannabis consumables are properly labelled and stored out of reach of children and pets. When creating cannabis consumables, try to maintain the ratios between the amount of cannabis and the ingredient (such as butter or oil) which is being infused. If your cannabis ingredient is potent, consider reducing the amount used in a recipe by increasing the portion of non-infused ingredient. This caution applies for cannabis whether obtained on the recreational or the medical market, such that you should carefully monitor your use in order to determine a dosage which is predictable and appropriate for you.
